Catherine has been providing the Zoo community with research and endocrine laboratory expertise to monitor reproduction and welfare in breeding programs. Hormone monitoring services include monitoring reproductive cycles, pregnancy diagnosis, contraception checks and breeding plans for Assisted Reproductive Technology such as Artificial Insemination. Providing assitance to develop conservation research projects for Zoo staff and University/Unitec students using faecal hormone analysis to help solve management or reproduction issues.
